The 7.2mg dose
The MHRA approved a higher 7.2mg weekly dose of Wegovy in January 2026, based on the STEP UP trial showing 20.7% weight loss — close to Mounjaro's results. The UK was the first country to approve this dose. It's administered as three 2.4mg injections on the same day. Private provider pricing for this dose is still being established, but is expected to be at the higher end of the range or above the current 2.4mg pricing.1
